BBKA Basic Exam

RBKA prepares candidates in a number of ways. Our teaching apiary is the main conduit to provide effective teaching, practical demonstration and an opportunity to discuss all aspects of beekeeping. In addition, our winter evening class, which has been run in recent years by Regional Bee Inspector Alan Byham also provides an opportunity to learn best practice, hygiene methods, beekeeping techniques and a host of other topics. Neither is a pre-requisite to the Basic but it does demonstrate Reigates' committment to developing beekeepers. Often overlooked, but also important is the members who are our teaching. All our instructors are as committed to their own learning as yours - attending lectures, trying out new methods and techniques, studying beekeeping theory and so are always trying to teach the latest methods and best practice.

BBKA General Husbandry

Although the general husbandry is not as popular as the basic, RBKA has several members who have obtained their General Husbandry and are able to offer advice and assistance.
